Although my boat was totaled but I had a great service from them and strongly recommend this place!

There's a lot of boat yards out there, but I traveled the 20 miles to bring my boat to Chris, Lesley, Bob, and the team at Cabrillo Boat Shop. Maybe there's some jobs where you aren't too concerned about getting it right, but when it matters, you need to have complete confidence in the team. In the matter of ensuring my keel is going to stay on my boat, I need to know it's 100%. I need to trust someone with the lives of friends and family that race on my boat. I trust Cabrillo Boat Shop.

Strongly recommended!! I brought my Hunter 34 sailboat for bottom paint, and some extra DIY work, and it was such a great and easy experience. I bought the bottom paint package, that included the haul out at a very convenient price, and then added some extra days to do the DIY work on through-hulls, top paint etc. Everyone there is so friendly, helpful, professional: Lesley was great in helping us find the right dates and planning the work, and was always there to help us find the best solutions. The team that worked on the boat was also great. You really feel that everyone there is trying to help you find the best solutions for your boat and improve your sailing. And this is so different from other places I have been, where you feel you are just constantly being asked for more money by doing stuff that is not necessary. Spending 1/5th of what I was quoted by other places, I was able to get so much more work done, and the final result was beyond my expectations (thanks also to Junior's advice). If you are looking for a place with experienced, friendly, and professional people, and you hate wasting money (like me), this is the place for you!!

Had my 37 Santata out for keel/hull damage. They did a great job. Assisted us with some homebrew repairs to the rudder and trim tab. Provided a fair price and timely service. JR communicated well and took lots of pictures. He also pointed out a few issues that need correction and took care of them without a hassle. Leslie was easy to talk to and went along with out plans based on the age of the boat. See you again in 5yrs for a bottom paint.

Great friendly service. Owner Chris Messano has been very attentive to Sumatra’s needs. We will be there for a while as we go through a full wooden boat bottom restore.
