Van Isle Marina

Van Isle Marina is one of the most polished full-service marinas in BC. The facilities are modern and spotless—showers, laundry, fuel dock, and even a self-serve dog wash. The staff are professional and the concierge-style service makes check-in smooth. The on-site West Coast Grill is a great spot for a meal with a view, and the marina’s location near the Gulf Islands is ideal for cruisers. On the flip side, it’s definitely on the pricier end, and the upscale vibe might feel a bit formal for casual boaters. During peak season, availability can be tight, and some visitors mention that the electronic access system takes a bit of getting used to.

Van Isle Marina is hands down one of the best marinas we’ve ever been to in our boating life! An amazing, professional and accommodating team, facilities so clean, tidy and organized, best marina washrooms on the West Coast, incredible boat yard with attentive staff there too and you simply can’t beat the location in the southern Gulf Islands. The only Sidney marina I know of that uses Astro-turf instead of maintaining a real lawn. Gotta give them credit for having the confidence to install that. Jokes aside, this is one of the most professional marinas this side of the border. The facilities are top notch. The staff are fantastic and always eager to help you out and wish you well. Super polished and clean. Friendly staff. This fuel dock has been in business since 1955. It has gone through a major update. The fuel dock was redone 2005. It offers a lot of local swag in their gift shop. A great atop on your ocean adventures.

In all of my many years of boating, the Van Isle Marina in Sidney BC on Vancouver Island is the best managed marina that I have ever seen. Impeccable facilities, moorage for 100’+ yachts down to small fishing boats, always helpful and alert staff, 24 hour video security, full service boatyard, large dry stowage yard, two sided fuel dock, Canada Customs dock, pumpout dock, laundry, showers and the best restaurant in town all located just 15 minutes from Victoria International Airport (YYJ) and on the door step to one of the best cruising grounds on Earth.
